South Africa is a Christian country in which more than 60% of its inhabitants describe themselves as evangelical. After a very good turnaround from apartheid politics to 1994, South Africa has become a "free" modern state, but with many new problems. The high crime rate (murder, drugs, prostitution, rape, violence, human trafficking) still causes daily headlines. LOGOS maintains 17 Bible Schools in South Africa with the aim of training new leaders in the communities, but also of creating dedicated prayer networks. Bible Schools in South Africa were established in the following locations:
Johannesburg
There is an LMTC with 30 students in the Tembisa district. In Soweto there are two LMTC with 35 students each. This Bible school education is accredited with SATS (South African Theological Seminary). After completing the one- or two-year course, students are entitled to study at SATS until they obtain a doctorate in theology.
Durban
Three Bible Schools, each with two times 25 and once 30 students. One in the northern district of Phoenix and two in the south in the Indian district of Chatsworth.
Klerksdorp
Bible school with 25 students.
Rustenburg
Bible school with 30 students.
Mamelodi
There is an LMTC with 15 students in the Pretoria district.
Polokwane
There are two LMTC with 12 and 10 students each.
Vryheid natal
